fa دیدگاه اعضای هیأت‌علمی در مورد وضعیت تحصیلی دانشجویان دندانپزشکی دانشگاه‌های علوم پزشکی ایران ساير موارد other پژوهشی اصیل Original research article مقدمه: ارزیابی مستمر وضعیت آموزشی دانشجویان برای بهبود نظام آموزشی ضروری می‌باشد. مطالعه حاضر با هدف مقایسه وضعیت تحصیلی دانشجویان دندانپزشکی فعلی از دیدگاه اعضای هیأت‌علمی دانشکده‌های دندانپزشکی دانشگاه‌های علوم پزشکی کشور با دانشجویان سال‌های گذشته انجام شد. روش‌ها: این مطالعه توصیفی-مقطعی در سال 1390 انجام گرفت. اطلاعات به وسیله پرسشنامه‌ای محقق‌ساخته، روا و پایا جمع‌آوری شد که توسط 354 عضو هیأت‌علمی شاغل در 18 دانشکده‌ دندانپزشکی و واجد شرایط ورود به مطالعه تکمیل گردید. پرسشنامه، وضعیت تحصیلی دانشجویان دندانپزشکی حال حاضر را در مقایسه با دانش‌آموختگان سال‌های گذشته بررسی کرد. داده‌ها به استفاده از آمار توصیفی، آزمون‌های واریانس، تی مستقل و ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن تجزیه و تحلیل شدند. نتایج: بیش از 50% از استادان بیان کردند که تمایل دانشجویان به شرکت در آزمون تخصصی و انجام فعالیت‌های پژوهشی خوب‌تر تا بسیار خوب‌تر شده است، ولی علاقه به حضور در کلاس دروس نظری و انجام تکالیف آموزشی بدتر تا بسیار بدتر شده است. به علاوه نظر اغلب شرکت‌کنندگان در مورد سایر متغیرها بر این بود که بین دانشجویان فعلی و دانش‌آموختگان دندانپزشکی تفاوتی وجود نداشت و در مجموع 94/40% از شرکت‌کنندگان معتقد بودند که وضعیت تحصیلی دانشجویان تغییری نکرده است. شرکت‌کنندگان معتقد بودند که حدود 46% از دانش‌آموختگان دندانپزشکی مهارت بالینی کافی برای طبابت مستقل را دارند. ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن ارتباط معناداری بین سابقه تدریس اعضای هیأت‌علمی با میانگین نمره وضعیت تحصیلی دانشجویان دندانپزشکی نشان نداد. نتیجه‌گیری: اگرچه اشتیاق به شرکت در آزمون تخصصی و انجام فعالیت‌های پژوهشی در دانشجویان فعلی بیشتر شده است، ولی در مجموع وضعیت تحصیلی دانشجویان دندانپزشکی ایران از نظر استادان آنان در طی سال‌های گذشته تغییری نکرده است. همچنین از دیدگاه استادان مهارت بالینی دانش‌آموختگان دندانپزشکی برای انجام طبابت مستقل چندان مطلوب نبود. Introduction: Continuous evaluation of students’ educational status is necessary for improving of educational system. The aim of this study was to compare educational status of present dental students all around the country with previous graduated students from the viewpoint of Iranian dental faculty members. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out in 2011. The information was collected by a valid and reliable questionnaire that was completed by 354 eligible faculty members employed in 18 dental schools. The questionnaire was designed to compare educational status of present dental students with that of the previous graduated students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA and Spearman correlation coefficient. Results: More than 50% of the faculty members stated that the students’ tendency to participate in specialty exams and to embark on research activities is better to much better then before but interest in didactic class attendance and to accomplish educational assignments is worse to much worse. Moreover, most participants believed that there was no difference between current students and graduates in other variables and totally, educational status of students has not changed. The participants believed that about 46% of dental graduates have enough clinical skills for independent practice. Spearman's correlation coefficient did not show a significant correlation between years of services of faculty members and study’s variables. Conclusion: Although aspiration for participation in postgraduate entrance exams and research activities have increased, in general the educational status of Iranian dental students has not improved during the last years.
