* The aim of Iranian Journal of Medical Education
(IJME) is to promote the researchers' knowledge in medical education and to act as a medium for sharing their information
on different aspects of that through publishing their researches.
* (IJME) is published in Farsi and
Accepts full text articles with its English abstract.
* (IJME) accepts Original Research Articles, Review
Articles and Letters to the Editor related to the
following domains of medical education:
# Community orientation
# Appropriate teaching methodology
# Continuing medical education
# Evaluation of educational programs
# Comparative studies of medical education in the
world
# Appropriate methods for student assessment
# Curriculum planning
# Educational management
# Educational technology
* Submit 5 copies of the manuscript to the Journal or e-mail a copy to:ijme@edc.mui.ac.ir or submit on-line
None are to be returned.
* Manuscripts should be typed on A4 size papers with
2.5 cm lateral margins and double-spaced throughout.
* Original research articles are to be composed of the
following sections:
TITLE, ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION,
METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSION, ACKNOWLEDGMENT, REFERENCES,
APPENDICES (Figures, Tables, Questionnaires).
Each section should be commenced on a new page.
All pages are sequentially enumerated on the bottom-
right.
* On the Cover page (Title page) there should be
noted:
TITLE, NAME(s) and the FAMILY NAME(s) of
the AUTHOR(s) with their graduate degree,
ADDRESS and CONTACT NUMBER and the INSTITUTIONAL
AFFILIATION of each author, ADDRESS and CONTACT NUMBER of the
author responsible for negotiations concerning the
manuscript and future correspondence, The
ORGANISATION financially supporting the project
should be noted on this page. Also, a RUNNING
HEAD of fewer than 40 letter spaces should be
mentioned.
* Provide on a separate page a STRUCTURED ABSTRACT
of not
more than 250 words. This abstract should consist of
four paragraphs, labeled INTRODUCTION,
METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS reflecting the content of the article.

* All means by which
data are collected should be noted and the
questionnaires or checklists used should be affixed to
the manuscript. To mention the reference of
STANDARDISED QUESTIONNAIRES would
suffice.
٭In methods, SAMPLING ,TYPE of RESEARCH,ETHICAL COSIDERATIONS and DATA ANALYSIS should be mentioned in details so that other researchers can conduct the same design.
٭ The results presented in charts should not be repeated in the content except in important cases.
٭ In discussion ,the obtained results should be compared and discussed with those of similar researches.
* References must be numbered
consecutively as they are cited. The style of references

* Each TABLE should be typed on a separate page
and numbered consecutively as they are cited.
In respect to the size of the manuscript, number of
TABLES accepted by the Journal is limited.
Explanations should be written as footnotes. Abstain
application of ARABIC NUMBERS in the TABLES
to refer to the footnote, instead make use of symbols
like: .., tt, etc.
* FIGURES and DIAGRAMS should be
professionally designed and printed on separate pages
in BLACK and WHITE.Softwares used for this
purpose should be mentioned.
* REVIEW ARTICLES provided being highly
comprehensive are accepted by the Journal in the
following subjects:
# BOOK REVIEWS in Medical Education (not
exceeding more than 750 to 1000 words).
# Reports of MEDICAL EDUCATION MEETINGS,
maximum 2 month after they are being held, in size of
1200 to 1500 words.
# Articles discussing and criticizing resources in
specific subjects and proposing new ideas in Medical
Sciences provided not exceeding 3500 words.
* Letters to the Editor are considered for publication
(subject to editing and abridgment) provided they
fulfill the following criteria:
# Not exceeding more than 500 words.
# Are discussing an Article published in the Journal
or are about new inventions in Medical Education,
useful experiences or Medical Education NEWS.
* Iranian Journal of Medical Education accepts all
ACADEMIC ADVERTISEMENTS to be published in the
Advertisement section.
